CRT Monitor Verses LCD Monitor

Why You Should Go for an LCD Monitor Instead of a CRT OneDuring the times of PC discovery and first applications, the output was not on screen display but rather on papers punched by a type writer or a similar device. Advances in the computer industry led to the introduction of video display of the work we do with computer. A great breakthrough
was realized when monitors could be made from Cathode Ray Tubes (CRT) that had been applied in the make of home television sets.Recently, monitors that utilize the technology of flowing molecules to interact with light and phenomenally affect the wavelength of light have been introduced into the market, posing a competition with the traditional CRT screens. These monitors are generally known as LCD monitors and are widely accepted in the computer industry. The main differences between a CRT monitor and an LCD monitor is the technology that controls their functionality. CRT monitor utilizes the knowledge of high speed moving electrons from a high voltage cathode, passing in between electron deflectors that act as control unit controlling the specific point where the electron will hit on a phosphorous coated screen, where it will cause an emission of light seen by the eye. These emissions are of high wavelengths of light, coming with them risks to the user, and due to great impact on the screen, creating a problem with electrostatic.LCD or Liquid Crystal Display, are made by incorporating a molecule that moves like a liquid along a current of electricity coming from a transistor. The light passing in a field of electric charge will be interfered with in a specific manner, and will be filtered out according to the nature of the molecule crystal it passes through. Placing three of such crystals perpendicular to each other will control the color of the light reaching the display screen.

Gossip and God

Gossip: SYNONYMS gossip, blab, tattle. These verbs mean to engage in or communicate idle, indiscreet talk: gossiping about the neighbors; can’t keep a secret—he always blabs; is disliked for tattling on mischief-makers.Rumor or talk of a personal, sensational, or intimate nature. A person who habitually spreads intimate or private rumors or facts.
Consider the words of your mouth; it is wrong to use your tongue for gossip. Rather, use your mouth for good: talk with God, pray for others, and speak the Word. Lord Many times we speak without thinking about what we have said. We speak without realizing the way it will effect others. Lord You have commanded us to not gossip. You have commanded us to love our neighbors as ourselves. Lord help us to remember to ask You before we open our mouths ” is this gossip, is this truth. Will this hurt anyone. Will this help. Why does the person we are speaking to need to know this.” Lord we also need to know that sometimes You wish for us to tell the truth about a situation in which we have been wronged by others in order for them to be held accountable for their behavior. Lord help us to remember to do this according to your words in Matthew 18 A Brother Who Sins Against You15″If your brother sins against you,Lord help us to know when to be bold enough to do what You have commanded in this passage. Lord help those who are in the position to hold the offender accountable when they have sinned against others to do as You have commanded and hold them accountable. Lord help us to know the difference between gossip and holding others accountable. Help us to not bury our heads in the sand and ignore when a wrong has been done to a part of the body. Help us also to remember the difference between gossip and accountability. Let us not hurt others with our mouth. Let us speak only the truth in Kindness and with the Love only You our Abba Father can give. Lord hold our tongue and release it with only words You can give words of healing words of love. Healer of our soul let our word be like balm to the soul of one another. Lord we all need a vacation from the gossip of this world help each of us to be that oasis to others. In the Name of Your Son Jesus Christ, Amen

Why Cantonese is the Most Powerful Chinese Dialect in the World

Mostly for Two Reasons: The Chinatowns of the World and Hong KongI firmly believe Cantonese is the most powerful Chinese dialect. As not everyone is familiar with the Chinese language and its innumerable dialects, let me start with an exposition on the concept of dialects and whether or not some can be considered separate languages altogether.English and Spanish are probably the most well known languages on this side of the world. In fact, they’re the two most commonly used languages in the
world. But are they really just two languages? In America alone, we have English from the West Coast, English from the East Coast, English from the South, and so on. I assume anyone reading this article has had the good fortune of speaking with someone from a different region. Did you understand them? My guess is that aside from a few colloquialisms and an occasional urge to giggle, you understood them quite sufficiently. What about Britain and Australia? You don’t have to have been there to know what a British accent or Australian accent sounds like. I can understand Brits pretty well but have a little trouble with Aussies. Still, it doesn’t sound like a different language to me. A whole different set of vocabulary, but not quite different enough to classify it as a different language. So, English is English, right? This is not a rhetorical question, but for the sake of my argument in this article, I’m going to say a simple yes. You can have your own opinions.Onto Spanish. Now this language is a little trickier. With so many different countries that have Spanish as their official language, it’s no wonder that there’s a variety of regional speeches, but are they dialects in the sense that if you speak standard Castilian Spanish you can’t understand them? Probably. Catalan is a tough one. And that’s the only example I can think of. I have no problem understanding Mexicans, Costa Ricans, Guatemalans, Peruvians, and Argentineans.

The Future of Broadband: A Glimpse Ahead

Broadband in the Near FutureWhat shape the internet will take in the future is wide open and very exciting. The way we connect to it, is also very interesting, and both are ever evolving. One thing is for sure, most governments and all business’s want internet access available to everyone on the planet. How
this may be achieved in a reliable, timely and cost effective manor, using the technologies that are available now and on the near horizon is what we’ll cover here. Broadband over Power lines (BPL) seems to fit the three basic requirements. PBL uses a different frequency spectrum than electricity so they can co-exist on the same line. The idea here is that you could have internet access by plugging a BPL modem into any electric socket in the world. Current tests are achieving speeds up to 45 mbs, using a DS2 chip and several companies claim that 200 mbs will be achievable in the near future. There have been several world wide tests run, and tests are now spreading out across the United Sates. These tests have shown a possible problem with shared lines, which slows speeds down, similar to cable. Another concern is the complaint, that it causes interference with radio signals, especialy licensed radio operators. Commonly know as “HAM” operators. This is of special concern because “HAM” radio is used as a communications link in times of disaster, when other systems are down. This interference is due to the fact that most of the power lines are above ground and lightly shielded. How well these problems can be addressed, will have a great bearing on its world wide application.

Broadband Basics for the Home and Road

Broadband Overview and Security TipsFirst off, let me begin by saying just how far this area of technology has come in the last few years. There are four main types for home, mobile or small business.1. DSL (digital subscriber line) is run thru your existing phone line. Connection speeds from 268 kbs (kilobytes/second) to 8 mbs (megabites/second, 1 megabytes=1000 kilobytes) for normal use. Speeds are “caped” at different price points for the plan you choose. Speed and
availability are also determined by the distance you are from a phone company switching station. You can go to your phone company’s web site to see if it’s available to you. You can also see if any independent offer it in your area. There are several sites that check this and show you offers that might be in your area. You can find them by searching “DSL isp” (internet service provider) at your favorite search site. This technology as we know it today started in the mid to late 80’s, with the base technology in the 50’s. There are new versions and speeds becoming available as ongoing improvements. There are also systems that have dedicated lines. T1 lines are more expensive and not practical for most home users, so I won’t cover them.2. Cable runs in with your cable TV. hookup .The first cable modems came on the market around 1999. Speeds are capable of up to 20 mbs but are usually “caped” lower. Cable speeds are affected by the number of other people that share your line.ie; your apartment or condo building, the neighborhood you live. Usually you’ll get about 7, 8 mbs.You can get cable internet without the TV part, but they price packages. You see them on TV all the time. Cable is the most wide spread type service providers.

Dating Advice for Women

Advice for Single Women in the 21st CenturyThere are many people who offer newfangled dating advice for women, but it is usually the most practical and old-fashioned advice that works. Although the dating world has changed tremendously for men and women in the past few decades, some old standards still ring true. With so many
people looking for love, dating advice for women is highly sought amongst single ladies. Before one can actually participate in a date, one has to ask or be asked out for one. In the 21st century, either party can easily do this. Dating advice for women often lacks the most rudimentary aspect of going out on a date: how does one ask another out? The best way is often to be upfront and honest about one’s feelings. Once two parties engage in some mutual flirtation and it seems they may very well hit things on romantically, it is only natural for a date to be the next phase. A woman shouldn’t feel inclined to do anything different than a man would in this situation. Women often ask what they should do in preparation for a date. After all, first impressions last forever. Dating advice for women often includes the smaller details, such as clothes and makeup, as women are very concerned about such things. This is opposed to men, who often want to know where the couple should go on the first date and what topics of conversation are appropriate. This dating advice for women is priceless: don’t overdo it. Too much eyeliner or too much perfume may not be the way to go. After all, the person who agreed to go out with her seemed to like the way she normally looked. When preparing, go for dressy/casual and don’t show up looking like a stranger.

Dating Advice for Men

Advice for Single Men in the 21st CenturyThere is a lot of misguided dating advice for men out there in the world. Namely, magazines and Web sites are often trying to dole out dating advice for men. However, men should know that the best kind of dating strategy is to stick with the basics. No matter how independent women seem to
become, they still want to be treated like a lady. Men should try not to be men, but gentlemen. Although this is an age of sexual liberation and celebrities constantly pushing the envelope, chivalry will always win a woman over in the end.Dating advice for men often differs from advice given to women in that men are looking for the more practical answers for their dates. Whereas women think too much about appearances and the emotional side of dating, men are often curious about more sensible things. For instance, where should a first date be held? Men shouldn’t always assume that they will decide where the date will be held, but it is an old-fashioned and still romantic thing to “treat” a woman with a date. Having things prepared before the date tells the woman that the man gave her a lot of thought. Of course, an old standby that still works for a first date is dinner and a movie. Those seeking dating advice for men will often concern themselves with how to dress for the occasion. Although women normally obsess a bit more than men about what to wear, this is still a topic of concern for men. The answer is the same for both sexes: wear something nice, but don’t overdo it. Depending on what the date will entail, one should go for dressy-casual. However, some more daring type of dates, such as ones that entail outdoor adventure, will obviously call for something different. A priceless bit of dating advice for men: groom yourself well, but go easy on the cologne.

TV or Internet? Broadband Video Takes on Television

Which Will You Watch? TV and Broadband Internet Video Will CompeteI’m waiting for NFL games to hit the internet. It will probably be presented as a pay per view, but it’s coming, you can bet on that. Already you can watch live events via broadband internet. WebTV (an oldie in internet time) serves to muddy the waters a
little more. Which is TV and which is internet? Sometimes, it’s hard to tell.Sometimes there is no appreciable difference to the viewer. Churches ran with this technology right away and now it’s not uncommon to visit a Christian site and be presented with the option to view a full service – sometimes live, but more often not – on your monitor. Windows Media and RealAudio players handle these presentations very well. But what about real TV programming? The commercial kind, with interruptive advertising and all? It’s coming along. News videos, RealAudio broadcasts, Google videos, Youtube… they’re plowing up the roadbed and making it ready for the Big Guys. Whether national TV broadcasters come to the internet, or whether the internet births its own broadcasting super stars is yet to be seen, but whoever does it needs a better understanding of the internet than today’s news sites seem to have. Although computer monitors have yet to equal big screen TV, they’ve been greatly improved so that graphic presentations are much easier to watch. Watching newscasts, sportscasts and religious presentations tend to be a more individual activity because monitors are still small and one needs to sit fairly close to them for the best experience. But… as I said. It’s coming along. The question is, will they compete or compliment each other? Will the internet be a challenge to traditional TV shows, or will it fall into step beside them? I think – I hope – that the internet will challenge TV broadcasting The internet is more in touch with real people, doing real things. People who prefer to be online more than sit in front of the TV are a little different breed, and they’re going to expect different things from their entertainment choice. Is the internet up to it? Maybe not quite yet. But.. it’s coming along.
