there are literally hundreds of kinds of “therapy” out there.
Most therapists take insurance if you have it. If you don’t then some will charge on a sliding scale according to your income. Depending on your situation there are programs you may be eligible for – check your local yellow pages under mental health.
most therapists take insurance if you don’t have that check your area for a low income program that’ll help you pay! or If you are religious some pastors do God-centered counseling for free.
average price can range… I paid 95 dollars an hour without assistance. but when i was older and had to get help on my own I paid 30 an hour
and by hour I mean 50 minutes.
My CBT is free. As I live in UK. It gave me food for thought and interesting perspectives, but the symptoms are just as bad. I did understand how it happens more (still not why it happens but how). It didnt make my body stop anxiety/panic attacks. It’s a nice little crutch when things are just too bad. I’m back on meds and they usually work best for me with therapy in the background.
