Re-orient a ********** sexuality to heterosexual just for reparative theraphy?
Re-orient a ********** sexuality to heterosexual just for reparative theraphy?
For me, I dont believe it because if your gay/lesbian then you are still the same. Am I right?
Your digital technology

I’ll pass. Thanks.
that’d be the same as making me “like” to eat brussel sprouts.
i might tolerate em enough to eat em, but i’ll never like those things ( though i might put on a facade to pretend to eat em just so people stop forcing me to like em).
and that’s what i think those things do to homosexuals, they still like the same sex, they’re just gagged, tied up, and shoved back into the cupboard with the doors locked. they’re still who they are, they just become suppressed/oppressed.
i wonder what they’d say if i went around using the same technique on all vegetarians, bullying them until they admit that they like meat, and forcing them to live their lives under what i deem to be normal.. there’d be a stampede, and at least i can justify non-veganism to an extent (our teeth aren’t designed to eat greenery 24/7, we’re omnivores not herbivores). yet the double standard proves once again, that not only do they somehow think that it’s different in the case of homosexuality, they also lack the reasoning to justify forcing other people to bend to their beliefs and morals..
Believe me when I say that we homosexuals aren’t’ the ones who need therapy, the ones who need the therapy is those who can not see outside of their own beliefs.
Gays can’t change because it’s in our TRUE NATURE and we shouldn’t be DICTATED TO BELIEVE anything.
Something is very wrong here.
It’s a sham.
I’ve known several people who have been thru so-called “reparative therapy”. I believe it’s basically a bunch of brainwashing to try and convince people to supress their homosexuality, but I don’t think it actually causes ********** feelings to go away.
I think it just gives people false hope based on lies, wasting their money and time for nothing. One young man I knew who went thru this nearly committed ******* because he was so frustrated at being unable to change (and he was convinced because of his upbringing that this meant God hated him).
I think if people could accept that homosexuality is innate and unchangable, the world would be a better place. I think someone who is bisexual can choose not to be in a ********** relationship and be perfectly happy and some ********** people are probably happy being celibate, but I think it is cruel and inhumane to encourage people to deny their true feelings or to tell them that ********** thoughts must mean there is something wrong with them (and they are displeasing to God).
Oh, one other thing that many of these groups do is encourage homosexuals to enter heterosexual marriages, hiding the truth of their “struggles” with homosexuality from their spouses, which I think is pure evil!
Everyone I have met who’s done such a thing drove themselves crazy and wound up having to accept being *** anyhow.
I think RT is a scam of pseudo-science, like those diet pills that turned out to be tape-worm eggs, only more insidious because mental wounds take much longer to heal.
Reparative therapy is as much a crock of sh** as snake oil was back in the 1800′s. There is absolutely no medical based, scientific evidence to support that you can change your sexual orientation by therapy of any kind.
It makes as much sense as trying to “cure” me of being a tall Black male with brown eyes. I guess it could be done if someone could travel back in time, and magically rearrange my DNA while I was in my mother’s womb.
Of course, that’s about as likely as a Beatles reunion featuring the original lineup.
As for people who sell this BS? They should be investigated, arrested and prosecuted for fraud, because that’s exactly what it is.
i think it says a lot about society
if you’re different, make yourself the same
if you can’t, pretend you can
but ~as you probably guessed i’m not in support of emotionally abusing someone into a different social role, especially when there’s no reason why they should be.
take care
The “Ex-gay” movement is a LIE.
There is NO SUCH thing as an “Ex-gay.”
Human sexuality cannot be changed.
A person can behave differently or simply lie, but that doesn’t change who that person actually is inside.
A person who’s gone through “reparative” or “conversion” therapy is just a person who is lying about their sexuality, a person who has been religiously abused to believe sexuality can be changed, someone who needs REAL PROFESSIONAL HELP!
NOT ONE of those so called “Therapies” employ accredited and licensed therapists. Their whole usage of the work “Therapy” is dangerous and misguiding.
Thanks to reparative thereapy over 12,000 exgay people in the USA have changed their sexual orientation. It works regardless of the ” born gay/ *** forever ” propaganda. The *** activists can rant until they are blue in the face but it doesn’t change the facts. Reparative therapy works!!!!
Such reparative therapy groups accomplish nothing more than shaming another person into acting in a way that they want them to act. They make another person miserable in order to make themselves feel better.
Former leaders of so called “ex-gay” groups have apologized for their previous opinionated actions.
Even the ultra conservative president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary has said that scientific research “points to some level of biological causation” for homosexuality & “I am absolutely confident that a large number of homosexuals are telling the truth when they say they did not choose that orientation.”
One of the most outspoken people claiming that they were “cured” was John Paulk, who became active with the anti-gay groups Focus on the Family and Exodus.
He was “cured” to the point that, after marrying and having children, he went to the Washington D.C. *** bar Mr. P’s where he purchased drinks for other bar patrons for over an hour and later claimed he did not know it was a *** bar and only entered to use the restroom.
Paulk is no longer their spokesperson.
