Apple iPhone 3G S Goes on Sale Friday, June 19 iPhone 3G S sales will be starting at 7 A.M. at Apple and AT&T stores and it is expected to be a very big deal for consumers. Friday’s launch of Apple’s third generation iPhone is expected to increase sales of Apple products by quite a ways, but it still remains to be seen just how many iPhone’s will end up being sold in the opening days and weeks of sales. The Apple iPhone 3G S comes along about 2 years after the first iPhone. When the first Apple iPhone went on sale back in June of 2007, people were extremely excited, and it was a really big deal to be able to own one of the new Apple iPhone’s. They were also pretty expensive right out of the gate, and with the combination of purchasing the iPhone as well as the services attached to it, the price-point for the first Apple iPhone was a little too high for some consumers. The high price level has come down a tad since that day, and now the Apple 3G S is expected to be much more affordable than its predecessor. The question is whether the current economy could stunt early sales of the phone. The price point for the new Apple iPhone 3G S is said to be $199.99 for people that already have an AT&T contract. So they will basically be moving over to the new Apple iPhone and keeping their current accounts. It will take a new 2-year contract to get that good price though, and some of the features cost extra per month if you want full access to everything the iPhone has to offer. This includes a media plan to pay for unlimited text messaging and unlimited internet during the ownership of the Apple iPhone. Accessories will also be a hot commodity, as people seek to purchase nice new cases and adapters for their fancy new toy.

Amongst those additions that the rumors are claiming, the new Apple TV will allow users to experience movies and digital music to a new extent. An additional rumor going around is that Apple has been considering releasing the Apple TV software in a fashion that would allow it to be sold separately as a box-purchase or as a downloadable feature from the Apple website. What that would allow users to do, is to take any Mac computer, install the Apple TV software on to it, and with an appropriate video adapter, would basically be able to have their own Apple TV in that fashion. There are other thoughts that it could be more applicable to the Apple gaming section of the “App Store”, and that more content will be available for the Apple TV overall. For those new to the concept of the “Apple TV”, it is a digital media receiver device that has been sold by Apple and is designed to play digital content originating from all Mac OS X or Windows computers running iTunes. It basically creates a home theater type device and has only been around since 2006. At the Age of 83, Great Actor Paul Newman Dies of Cancer

Paul Newman Passed Away in Westport, Connecticut After a Long Battle with CancerPaul Newman, one of the greatest actors of our time, has passed away at the age of 83. Newman had been fighting a continued battle with cancer, and had gone back to his home in Westport, Connecticut. This is where he was when he died on Friday, taking away one of Hollywood’s greats.Newman has been one of those iconic type actors, where he was always bigger than the films he was in, always bringing with him a certain charisma and charm that simply jumped off the screen. He became quite famous in the 1950′s, and then put out huge hits like The Hustler, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and The Sting. Along the way he achieved a lot of box office success, and with that cam numerous nominations and successes for cinematic awards. At the end of his career he was moving behind the directors chair, but could also be heard as the voice of characters in such films as Pixar’s Cars, where he played the old Hudson Hornet. His career spanned many years, attaining him nominations for Oscars as best actor in Nobody’s Fool, The Color of Money, The Verdict, Absence of Malice, Cool Hand Look, Hud, The Hustler, and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. He also took home a Best Supporting Actor Nomination for his role in the Tom Hanks vehicle Road to Perdition. He only one one award though, taking home the 1987 Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his part in The Color of Money. It didn’t tarnish his reputation as a leading man to only take home one Oscar though, as his body of work really stands up there with the best actors we have seen grace the screen.
