Taliban moving in on Kandahar, AfghanistanThe Taliban may dominate, once again, the Afghan city of Kandahar. Fighting against the Taliban will pose a difficult task for Afghan officials after devastating attacks against the city have left the people fearful and in poor spirits. United States and Canadian troops capabilities
are overstretched and it is damaging any possibility for progress in the war. Kandahar, which was the Taliban headquarters prior to United States invasion, seems to be coming under the Taliban stronghold. Controlling the city streets after dark and attacking civilian populated areas, all residents feel unnerved and concerned about their safety. Increased numbers of United States troops in Afghanistan will take place this year, with 21,000 troops intended to take on the Taliban. Until now, the United States course of action in Afghanistan emphasized troop presence in the country side. Focusing on the city of Kandahar and the nearby areas that once served as Taliban stomping ground will be vital to making a strong stand against Taliban militants.Auschwitz Blueprints Handed Over to IsraelIsraeli leader, Benjamin Netanyahu encourages anyone who believes that the Holocaust is a myth to visit Israel to see the blueprints of the Nazi death camp.
