University of Mesothelioma

Posted in Asbestos

(Second Video: www.youtube.com ) March/08 University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada. Video of Asbestos contaminated mud right beside a running track/workout area. Type 2 entry is supposed to be closed off from the public airspace. Why just a construction fence? The government has been told, why do they cover it up? Why do they let the University get away with this? They even let children play down here even though asbestos was confirmed to be in the mud.

Cutting corners in Winnipeg, MB?? No way. /sarcasm

This city drives me crazy with how little attention to detail it pays most things. The roads got as bad as they are because previous governments did little to keep up street repair. That’s why our summers are spent dodging orange signs trying to get somewhere – because they let this city fall to pieces for so long that now something HAS to be done. Not surprised about asbestos in our university…

    What the hell…

I used to workout down there…

I remember I was running down there once and they had welders doing something. I started having an asthma attack and they later said, “Oh they have fans, it was fine!”

Although i posted the video in April this was first brought to managements attention by me July/07 and it was only after almost a year of fighting with them to do the right thing that i felt i was left with no other choice but to post this video. The only thing that has changed is they removed the sign i posted and reforced the snow fence to keep people out. (But not to keep asbestos in)

Well, it seems the U of M is inviting some sort of class action lawsuit here. I see this video was added April 13th 2008. Has anything happened since then?
