How to Get Motivated to Acheive Your Weight Loss Goal
Motivation for weight loss can be a tricky subject. Many weight loss subjects say that they had a defining moment that motivated them to lose the weight. I have come up with various strategies jump start your motivation for weight loss.
Over the years I have realized weight loss goals of 80, 40 and various 10 and 20 pound weight losses. I am currently at the 15 pound point of another 40 pound weight loss goal. I have trouble maintaining the weight loss as you can tell but I’ve become great at motivating myself to lose
the weight once I put it on. Here are some of the best strategies for motivating weight loss.
An upcoming event: This can be anything from a wedding, reunion or the best one for me; a vacation. Over the years I’ve realized that I only truly care if I will be embarrassed about my weight at the event. I would rather die than be seen fat in a bathing suit so I book a vacation at a beach resort.
Weight loss contest: I hate to lose anything (except pounds). The contest has to have a member I dislike or feel competitive against though. If it only contains friends Ill just cheer them on while I eat cookies on the sly.
Motivational Clothing. Pick or buy and outfit that you’d love to fit into (and reasonably can). Hang it where you exercise, weigh in or in your kitchen. Visualize yourself in it. You may need to switch out outfits occasionally. This motivation can just become part of the scenery over time.
Motivational Closet: I have a separate part of my closet for smaller clothes arranged by size. If I lose 5 or 10 pounds I get to go “shopping” in my closet. It is great to find that you can fit into your favorite clothes. This helps if you have a wide variety of sizes and clothes to choose from. I love clothes and over time have collected a great deal in different sizes.

I have over the course of the last several years tried many different online dating services and met with a significant amount of success. Penthouse, founded in 1965 by Bob Guccione, was acquired in 2004 by a group of investors headed by entrepreneur Marc Bell. Apparently, the enormous amount of free porn available on the Internet has lowered profits and as a result forced Penthouse to branch out into the social networking scene. Last December, Penthouse purchased social network Various, Inc. for $500 million. Various’ holdings include several online dating sites such as Bondage.com that have acquired over 250 million members combined since they were founded. They also have 1.2 million current subscribers who pay for content. Various’ biggest producer is AdultFriendFinder.com which claims to be “the world’s largest adult sex and swingers site” and has more than 18 million members. Bell has said that in the coming months Penthouse Media Group, Inc. will be renamed FriendFinder Networks, Inc. The company plans to offer multiple sites serving daters and adult content consumers around the world. So where does a Christian dating site fit in? “Penthouse is a worldwide trademark and we see opportunity in combining our brands,” Bell says. Apparently sites like BigChurch.com, LikeMyNudePhoto.com, and the swinger network AdultFriendFinder.com, are simply a way for Penthouse Media Group to diversify their offerings to bring in more revenue. Considering the fact that Penthouse owns BigChurch.com, it would be interesting to know how many members are aware of it and if the ownership of the site makes any difference to them.

“Gossip Girl” Continues to Entertain!I’m sure “Haven’t you missed me?” are four words Serena van der Woodsen never wants to hear in the same sequence again! A few weeks ago, Georgina Sparks asked Serena this and things have never been the same again. While Gossip Girl
has never failed to deliver great entertainment, the introduction of Georgina Sparks, ultimate bad girl, could not have been a smarter move for the hit CW series. Georgina, or G, is played by Michelle Trachtenberg and she does it brilliantly. My only recollection of Trachtenberg is from her Buffy the Vampire Slayer days of playing the little sister so this was a jump for me but a pleasant one. Since Trachtenberg joined the cast, her character has caused a rift between Serena and boyfriend Dan, outed Serena’s little brother at the dinner table and even brought Serena and Chuck, the dirty boy of the Upper East Side, closer together. The biggest surprise is that Georgina attempted to make an amateur sex tape of Serena and a guy but it quickly went from sexy to deadly as the guy overdosed and died. This event, we discover, is the reason Serena fled Manhattan so abruptly.Did I forget to mention that Georgina has created a personality for herself that she has been using to get closer to Dan? Yeah…S is this personality’s name. S for Sarah…or for slut as I like to think. Somehow everyone knows that Sarah is a lie except for Dan but I guess that’s too be expected since he’s too busy locking lips with Georgina/Sarah on the streets. Obviously Georgina will finish out as a recurring character for this season, but will she return for Season 2? Let’s hope so because she brings the drama ten times more intensely than Blair, the show’s resident bitch.So Serena was in the room when a guy died from a drug overdose and her boyfriend is making out with the girl who filmed it. What else is so OMFG about Gossip Girl?
